Cabin Crew
An airline is seeking dedicated and professional individuals to join its team as Cabin Crew. The Cabin Crew acts as the airline's ambassador, consistently striving to achieve customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image. This role involves enhancing the overall customer experience by providing excellent service while ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the complete flight cycle. Cabin Crew members are expected to be ready and fit for duty, operating in line with set measures and company policies and procedures.
Role Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of a Cabin Crew member include:
- Ensuring timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality for assigned flights, and attending briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instructing passengers on safety procedures to ensure their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifying and addressing safety and security risks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, in partnership with the Cabin Supervisor.
- Administering first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informing the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Welcoming passengers, assisting with boarding formalities, and entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook according to adopted procedures.
- Providing constant excellent customer services to passengers by attending to their individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifying and assisting passengers experiencing stress or difficulties according to operational policies and procedures.
- Contributing to maximizing on-board revenue and charity programs by efficiently promoting on-board products, meals, and services, aiming to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensuring proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments for sales and donations.
- Carrying out pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment are present, and reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain as appropriate.
- Assisting in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flying.
- Ensuring an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Performing post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to adopted policies and procedures, including providing objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting problems or discrepancies, and closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounting to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and fulfilling the duties of the Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintaining necessary professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training, emergency procedure training, and workshops, and ensuring the currency of their license.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Requirements:
Candidates interested in this role should meet the following criteria:
- Age: Between 20 to 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Must be medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
- Academic Qualification: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered a plus.
- Additional Training: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Health: Must be fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Experience: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is an added value. An active cabin crew license is also an advantage.
- Work Ethic: Capable of working in a shift pattern and for extended working hours. Must demonstrate high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules. Should possess the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
