The Cabin Crew Member serves as a key ambassador for the airline, committed to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image. This is achieved by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight experience. The role requires dedication to maintaining personal readiness and fitness to operate flights, adhering strictly to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures punctuality, impeccable grooming, and operational fitness and compliance for all assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to fully understand flight details, assigned duties, sales targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
- Educates passengers thoroughly on essential safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks in the cabin and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement appropriate corrective actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provides necessary first aid assistance to passengers as required.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or equipment malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain.
- Welcomes passengers warmly and facilitates smooth boarding processes.
- Records necessary flight data accurately in the aircraft logbook in compliance with regulatory and company procedures.
- Delivers consistent, high-quality customer service by attending to individual passenger requests and needs, including pre-booked services.
- Identifies and assists passengers who may require additional support or are experiencing difficulties, in line with operational manual guidelines and relevant instructions.
- Actively promotes on-board products, meals, and charity initiatives to maximize ancillary revenue and contribute to the "Charity Cloud" program, working towards individual and team sales objectives.
- Ensures the secure and accurate handling of cash and credit card transactions for sales and donations.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks of safety equipment, supplies, catering provisions, and specified aircraft equipment. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is properly cleaned during transit stops and that catering and duty-free stock levels are adequate before departure.
- Manages the orderly handover and takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to established policies; provides objective feedback on the Cabin Supervisor's performance, reports flight discrepancies, and ensures duty-free containers are properly secured.
- Reports on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor. May undertake the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains required professional knowledge, safety certifications, and license validity through participation in recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops.
- Contributes effectively to the team's success and achieves allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be proportionate to age and height.
- Clear skin, free from visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to fulfill all Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications:
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A diploma in Travel or Tourism is advantageous.
- Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are considered an asset.
- Must meet fitness-to-fly requirements with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is necessary.
- Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Previous experience as a Cabin Crew Member within the airline industry is mandatory.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Capable of working flexible shift patterns and extended hours as required.
- Demonstrates high levels of flexibility and adaptability in response to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Proven ability to adhere to policies and procedures and successfully meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
