Cabin Crew Open Day - Alexandria, Egypt

Job Purpose:

The Cabin Crew Member acts as an ambassador for Air Arabia, striving to cultivate customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image. They provide exceptional customer service, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight. The role requires readiness and fitness for duty, maintaining productivity in line with established metrics, and adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights. Attends pre-flight briefings to understand flight details, roles, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
  • Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing their well-being. Identifies safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor for corrective action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers when required. Promptly reports irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain.
  • Customer Service: Welcomes and assists passengers with boarding, accurately entering data in the aircraft logbook, following Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA protocols. Provides consistently excellent service, addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Recognizes and aids passengers experiencing stress, adhering to policies in the Operations Manual and other directives. Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by promoting meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team goals. Ensures secure handling of cash and credit card payments for sales and donations.
  • Crosschecking and Reports: Performs pre-flight checks to verify adequate supplies, emergency equipment, and catering equipment, reporting any issues to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain. Assists in ensuring thorough cabin cleaning and adequate re-catering at transit stations. Ensures the proper handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports, offering an objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight problems, and securing duty-free containers. Informs the Cabin Supervisor on passenger conduct and may perform duties of the Cabin Supervisor when directed by the Captain. Maintains current professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedure training, and workshops while ensuring license validity. Contributes to team success by achieving sales targets and objectives.

Important Requirements:

  • Age: 20 to 33 years
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male)
  • Weight: Proportional to Age and Height
  • Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while in uniform
  • Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties
  • Able to swim with the aid of a flotation device

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
  • Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is advantageous.
  • Fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Work Experience:

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Previous cabin crew or customer service experience in the airlines, aviation, or hospitality industry is considered valuable.
  • An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
  • Capable of working in shift patterns and extended hours.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to frequent changes and busy schedules.
  • Demonstrates the ability to contribute and deliver against policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
