Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member acts as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to achieving customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image through exceptional customer experiences. They provide outstanding service to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member must maintain operational readiness and adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure optimal productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct:
- Ensures punctual attendance, impeccable grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights.
- Attends pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, role assignments, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on safety protocols, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as needed.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding procedures, entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA standards.
- Provides consistent, exceptional customer service, addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following the guidelines in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting meals, products, and charitable services, achieving both individual and team targets.
- Ensures the secure and proper handling of cash and credit card transactions related to sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to confirm adequate supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified equipment before departure, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as needed.
- Assists in ensuring thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and that sufficient re-catering and duty-free products are onboard prior to flight.
- Ensures a structured and complete handover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance personnel.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per established policies and procedures, offering an objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any problems or discrepancies, including the proper closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Reports on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor; fulfills the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge by participating in recurrent training, emergency procedure drills, and educational workshops, ensuring a valid license.
- Contributes to team success by accomplishing related tasks and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20 to 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Proportionate to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Able to swim with the assistance of a flotation device.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Fit to fly, with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience as cabin crew or in a customer service capacity within the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is considered an asset.
- An active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Capable of working in shifts and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
