About the Role
The Cabin Crew acts as an ambassador for the airline, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image by consistently enhancing the overall passenger experience. This role provides exceptional customer service to all passengers while diligently ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member maintains operational readiness and fitness, ensuring productivity aligns with established standards, company policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Cabin Crew include:
- Ensuring timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal readiness for assigned flights.
- Participating in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instructing passengers on safety procedures and ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifying potential safety and security risks and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administering first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informing the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Welcoming passengers and assisting with boarding formalities.
- Entering required data into the aircraft log book in compliance with company and regulatory procedures (e.g., GCAA/CAA).
- Providing continuous excellent customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifying and assisting passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to relevant policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other instructions.
- Contributing to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting charitable programs by effectively promoting on-board products, meals, and services, aiming to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensuring the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments for sales and donations.
- Conducting pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items before departure.
- Reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assisting in ensuring the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and confirming adequate re-catering and duty-free products are available before flight.
- Ensuring an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Carrying out post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to adopted policies and procedures, which includes providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and managing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounting to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and performing the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when specifically designated by the Captain.
- Maintaining professional and safety knowledge through recurrent and emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring a current license.
- Contributing to the team effort by achieving related results and fulfilling allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Proportional to Age and Height.
- Clear skin without visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Must be fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
Work Experience
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew within the airline industry is essential.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Must be capable of working in shift patterns and extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Exhibits the ability to contribute effectively and successfully meet expectations against policies, procedures, and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
