Cabin Crew Member
A Cabin Crew Member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive brand image. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the flight. The Cabin Crew Member must maintain operational readiness and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: Maintains timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for all assigned flights. Actively participates in briefings to understand flight details, roles, targets, security measures, and boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Clearly instructs passengers on safety protocols, ensuring their well-being throughout the flight. Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Provides first aid to passengers when necessary and promptly communicates any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain.
- Customer Service: Greets passengers and facilitates their boarding, entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA guidelines. Delivers consistent, high-quality service, attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and supports passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures. Actively promotes on-board sales, including meals, products, and the "Charity Cloud" program, to maximize revenue and achieve individual and team goals. Ensures the secure handling of cash and credit card payments from individual sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to verify the adequacy of supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items, reporting deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are available. Guarantees a smooth handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports per adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight issues, and properly closing and sealing duty-free containers. Reports on passenger conduct and fulfills the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional knowledge and safety compliance by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedure sessions, and educational workshops; ensures license is current. Contributes to team success by achieving allocated sales goals and objectives.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum height: 160 cm (female), 170 cm (male).
- Weight proportional to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the assistance of a flotation device.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is preferred.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is advantageous.
- Fit to fly, possesses good general health, and free from serious medical conditions or chronic illnesses.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Previous experience as a cabin crew member in the airline industry is essential.
- Active cabin crew license is desirable.
- Capability to work in shift patterns and for extended periods.
- Demonstrates strong flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates ability to contribute and successfully meet established policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
