Job Summary

The Cabin Crew Member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, committed to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight experience. The incumbent is expected to be prepared and fit for duty, maintaining productivity in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights. Attends pre-flight briefings to understand flight details, role assignments, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
  • Safety Measures: Provides clear instructions to passengers regarding safety protocols, ensuring their well-being and comfort. Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor for remedial actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers when necessary. Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
  • Customer Service: Greets passengers and assists with boarding formalities, inputting necessary data into the aircraft logbook as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Delivers consistent, high-quality customer service, addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to the procedures detailed in the Operations Manual. Actively promotes onboard meals, products, and charity services to maximize revenue and achieve individual and team targets. Ensures secure handling of cash and credit card payments related to sales and donations.
  • Crosschecking and Reports: Performs pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, and catering equipment. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations, with adequate re-catering and duty-free products provided. Ensures a complete and orderly handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, or maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any issues or discrepancies. Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct and assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain. Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training sessions, emergency procedure training, and workshops. Achieves sales targets, contributing to team success.

Important Requirements

  • Age: 20 to 33 years old.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
  • Weight: Proportionate to age and height.
  • Clear skin, with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties.
  • Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
  • Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
  • Fit to fly with good general health, no serious medical conditions, or chronic diseases.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Work Experience

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is beneficial.
  • Possession of an active cabin crew license is advantageous.
  • Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
  • Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
  • Exhibits the ability to contribute and effectively meet policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
