Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive brand image. They are committed to enhancing the overall customer experience by providing outstanding service while ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout each flight. The role demands readiness and fitness for duty, maintaining productivity in accordance with established standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: The Cabin Crew member maintains timely attendance, proper grooming, and ensures their fitness and legality for assigned flights. They participate in briefings to acknowledge flight details, role assignments, targets, and security procedures.
- Safety Measures: They instruct passengers on safety procedures, prioritize passenger safety and comfort at all times, identify safety and security risks, and collaborate with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective measures according to Standard Operating Procedures. They administer first aid when necessary and promptly report any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain.
- Customer Service: They greet passengers and assist with boarding, entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook, provide excellent customer service by attending to individual requests and needs, and support passengers experiencing stress or difficulties. They actively contribute to maximizing on-board revenue through the promotion of on-board meals, products, and charitable programs. They also ensure the secure handling of cash and credit card transactions.
- Crosschecking and Reports: The Cabin Crew member conducts pre-flight checks to verify adequate supplies and equipment, reporting any deficiencies. They assist in maintaining cabin cleanliness during transit stops and ensure adequate re-catering and duty-free supplies are available. They ensure orderly handover of the cabin to cleaning and maintenance staff. Post-flight duties include providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any discrepancies, and securing duty-free containers. They are responsible for reporting passenger conduct and may assume the duties of Cabin Supervisor as assigned.
- Professional Development: The Cabin Crew member maintains a high level of professional knowledge by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops while also ensuring current licensing. They contribute to team success by achieving sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20 to 30 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportional to age and height
- Clear skin, free of visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate (a diploma in Travel/Tourism is preferred)
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures (an advantage)
- Fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is an advantage.
- Active cabin crew license is advantageous.
- Ability to work in shifts and extended hours
- Highly flexible and adaptable to frequent changes and busy schedules
