Cabin Crew Member

Job Purpose:

The Cabin Crew Member acts as an ambassador for Air Arabia, fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. They are responsible for enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service, ensuring passenger safety, and maintaining comfort throughout the flight cycle. The role requires consistent readiness and fitness to operate, with productivity aligned with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights. Attends briefings to understand flight details, role assignments, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
  • Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures. Identifies safety and security risks, partnering with the Cabin Supervisor for remedial action. Administers first aid to passengers when necessary. Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
  • Customer Service: Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, entering data into the aircraft logbook. Provides excellent customer service, attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to operational procedures. Promotes on-board meals, products, and charity services, contributing to revenue and achieving individual/team targets. Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments.
  • Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure adequate supplies and equipment, reporting deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain. Assists in cleaning the aircraft cabin at transit stations and ensuring adequate re-catering. Ensures orderly handover/takeover of the cabin to relevant staff. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations, and reporting any issues. Accounts for passenger conduct, carrying out duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated. Maintains professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training and ensuring a current license. Contributes to team efforts, achieving allocated sales targets.

Important Requirements:

  • Age: 20 to 33 years.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
  • Weight: Proportional to age and height.
  • Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
  • Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
  • Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an asset.
  • Fit to fly, with good general health, and no serious medical conditions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Work Experience:

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality Industries is advantageous.
  • Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in shift patterns and for extended hours.
  • Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
  • Demonstrates the ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
