Overview
The Cabin Crew Member serves as a key ambassador for the airline, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image. The role involves providing exceptional customer service while ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout all phases of flight. A successful candidate is expected to maintain peak physical and mental fitness to operate flights effectively, adhering strictly to company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Job Purpose
This position is centered on enhancing the overall customer experience. The Cabin Crew Member is responsible for providing excellent service and support to all passengers, prioritizing their safety and comfort from boarding to disembarkation. The role requires strict adherence to company standards and operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, maintaining a professional appearance and grooming standard, confirming personal fitness, and verifying the legality of documentation for assigned flights. Participating actively in pre-flight briefings to understand flight specifics, role distribution, service targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Instructing passengers on essential safety procedures to guarantee their well-being and comfort throughout the flight. Identifying potential safety and security risks and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administering necessary first aid to passengers when required. Promptly reporting any irregularities or equipment malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as appropriate.
- Customer Service: Greeting passengers upon boarding, assisting with boarding formalities, and entering required flight data into the aircraft log book in compliance with airline and regulatory procedures. Consistently delivering high standards of customer service by addressing individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and specific needs. Identifying and assisting passengers who may be experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions. Contributing to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting charitable programs by effectively promoting products, meals, and services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets. Ensuring the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducting pre-flight checks to confirm the availability of sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering items, and other specified equipment before departure. Reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain. Assisting in supervising the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and verifying that adequate catering and duty-free products are restocked before the next flight segment. Ensuring an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin from or to catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel. Completing post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures, providing objective feedback on the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight discrepancies, and ensuring the secure closure of duty-free containers. Reporting passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and being prepared to perform the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain. Maintaining professional competency and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training sessions, emergency procedures courses, and relevant educational workshops, and ensuring an active cabin crew license is held if applicable. Contributing positively to team objectives, including the successful achievement of allocated sales targets and overall team goals.
Essential Requirements
- Age between 20 and 30 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight must be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin without visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform all duties associated with the Cabin Crew role.
- Ability to swim using a flotation device.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training or certification in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is highly valued.
- Holding an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capability to work flexible shift patterns and extended working hours is essential.
- Demonstrates high levels of flexibility and adaptability to accommodate frequent schedule changes and busy operational demands.
