Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member acts as an ambassador for Air Arabia, fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall customer experience. He/She provides exceptional customer service to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member is expected to be ready and fit to operate, maintaining productivity in line with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and compliance with all legal requirements for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, role assignments, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures to ensure their safety and comfort. Identifies and reports safety and security risks, partnering with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers when necessary. Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Customer Service: Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Enters necessary data into the aircraft log book in accordance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Provides consistently excellent customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following guidelines in the Operations Manual and related instructions. Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets. Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items before takeoff. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as needed. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before departure. Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per established policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor. Reports any problems or discrepancies during the flight, including the closing and sealing of duty-free containers. Reports on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and carries out the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain. Maintains up-to-date professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedure drills, and educational workshops, ensuring a current license. Contributes to team success by accomplishing related duties and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements
- Age: 20 to 30 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportionate to age and height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered an advantage.
- Fit to fly, possessing good general health with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is a plus.
- Active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in a shift pattern and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
