Role Overview
The Cabin Crew serves as an essential ambassador for the airline, consistently striving to cultivate customer loyalty and project a positive corporate image. This role is dedicated to enhancing the overall customer experience by providing excellent service, ensuring passenger safety, and maintaining comfort throughout all phases of flight. The Cabin Crew is expected to be ready and fit for duty, operating efficiently in accordance with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring timely attendance, impeccable grooming, physical fitness, and legal readiness for assigned flights.
- Actively participating in pre-flight briefings to understand flight details, role assignments, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instructing passengers on crucial safety procedures, thereby ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifying potential safety and security risks and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions aligned with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administering first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly reporting any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as appropriate.
- Greeting passengers and assisting with boarding formalities; entering necessary data into the aircraft log book according to relevant procedures.
- Delivering consistently excellent customer services by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifying and assisting passengers who may be experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to the policies outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributing to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program through effective promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, working towards individual and team targets.
- Ensuring the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments from individual sales and donations.
- Conducting pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified items before departure, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assisting in ensuring thorough cabin cleaning at transit stations and confirming adequate re-catering and duty-free products are available before flying.
- Ensuring orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Carrying out post-flight briefings and completing assessment reports as per company policies, providing objective feedback and reporting flight issues or discrepancies.
- Accounting to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct.
- Assuming the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintaining necessary professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, educational workshops, and ensuring a current license.
- Contributing to overall team effort by achieving allocated sales targets and related objectives.
Essential Requirements
Candidates must meet the following essential requirements:
- Age between 20 and 30 years.
- Minimum height of 160 cm for females and 168 cm for males.
- Weight proportionate to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform the duties of a Cabin Crew member.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered an added value.
- Must be fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the airline/aviation or hospitality industries is beneficial.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Must be capable of working flexible shift patterns and extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and achieve results against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
