Job Purpose

The Cabin Crew member serves as a primary ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image at all times. This is achieved by consistently enhancing the overall customer experience. The role requires providing exceptional customer service to all passengers while meticulously ensuring their safety and comfort throughout every phase of the flight cycle. The Cabin Crew is expected to maintain readiness and fitness for operation, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and the company's adopted policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Conduct

  • Ensures punctual attendance, impeccable grooming, and overall fitness and legal readiness for all assigned flights.
  • Participates actively in pre-flight briefings to confirm understanding of flight details, role assignments, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
  • Performs pre-flight checks to verify adequate supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified equipment prior to departure. Reports any deficiencies promptly to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
  • Assists in thorough cabin cleaning at transit stations and ensures sufficient re-catering and duty-free products are provided before subsequent flights.
  • Manages the orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
  • Conducts post-flight briefings and completes assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures, including objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any flight-related problems or discrepancies.
  • Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and is prepared to assume Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
  • Continuously maintains professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedures workshops, and by ensuring all licenses are current.
  • Contributes effectively to team objectives, including achieving allocated sales targets.

Safety & Security

  • Educates passengers on essential safety procedures to ensure their continuous safety and comfort.
  • Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
  • Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.

Customer Experience & Service

  • Extends a warm welcome to passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Accurately enters required data into the aircraft log book following Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
  • Delivers consistently excellent customer service, addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
  • Provides support and assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
  • Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the “Charity Cloud” program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations.

Essential Requirements

  • Age: Between 20 and 33 years.
  • Height: Minimum 160 cm for females, 168 cm for males.
  • Weight: Proportionate to age and height.
  • Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Medical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
  • Swimming Ability: Capable of swimming with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
  • Training: Previous training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
  • Health: Demonstrates good general health without serious medical conditions or chronic diseases, and is fit to fly.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Language: Must possess fluent written and spoken English.

Work Experience & Attributes

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered a significant advantage.
  • Possession of an active cabin crew license is beneficial.
  • Capable of working flexible shift patterns and extended hours.
  • Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
  • Exhibits the ability to contribute effectively and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
