Role Summary
The Cabin Crew Member serves as a key ambassador for the airline, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image at all times. This role is central to enhancing the overall passenger experience by providing outstanding customer service while consistently ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The ideal candidate is expected to be ready and fit for duty, operating efficiently in line with company policies, procedures, and productivity measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct & Readiness: Ensures timely attendance, maintains impeccable grooming standards, and verifies personal fitness and legality for assigned flights. Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to confirm flight details, understand role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Safety & Security: Instructs passengers thoroughly on all safety procedures to ensure their well-being and comfort. Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions strictly according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Provides essential first aid assistance to passengers when necessary. Promptly communicates any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as appropriate.
- Passenger Experience & Service: Warmly welcomes passengers and facilitates smooth boarding processes. Accurately records necessary flight data in the aircraft log book, adhering to all relevant procedures. Delivers continuous, exceptional customer service, attentively addressing passenger pre-bookings, individual requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing distress or difficulties in accordance with guidelines outlined in the Operations Manual and related instructions. Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the 'Charity Cloud' program by effectively promoting products, meals, and charitable services, thereby achieving individual and team sales objectives. Ensures the secure and accurate handling of all cash and credit card transactions resulting from sales and donations.
- Operational Checks & Reporting: Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other required items before departure, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned at transit stops and that adequate re-catering and duty-free stock are loaded. Manages the orderly handover and takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to established procedures, providing objective feedback on the Cabin Supervisor, documenting flight problems or discrepancies, and securing duty-free containers. Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and is prepared to assume the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain. Maintains required professional knowledge and safety competency by participating in recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and workshops, ensuring their license remains current. Contributes effectively to the team's success by achieving related results and meeting allocated sales targets and objectives.
Essential Requirements
- Age: Between 20 and 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Skin: Clear skin free from visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Health: Medically and physically fit to perform all cabin crew duties.
- Swimming: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications & Skills
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a diploma in Travel or Tourism is advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered an added value.
- Must be medically fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
- Language: Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
Work Experience & Attributes
- Applications from fresh graduates are welcomed.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality Industries is an added value.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Candidates must be capable of working varied shift patterns, including extended hours.
- Demonstrates high levels of flexibility and adaptability in response to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and successfully meet established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
