Cabin Crew - Air Arabia
Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member acts as Air Arabia's ambassador, fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall passenger experience. They provide exceptional customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the complete flight cycle. The role requires the individual to maintain a high level of fitness and readiness to operate effectively, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness and compliance with legal requirements for assigned flights.
- Attends pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, understand assigned roles, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, and other relevant information.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on safety procedures to be followed, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to take remedial action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as required.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, recording necessary data in the aircraft logbook as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Provides consistently exceptional customer service by addressing individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties in accordance with relevant policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, striving to achieve individual and team targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment prior to takeoff, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flying.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any problems or discrepancies encountered during the flight, and closing and sealing duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and assumes the duties of "Cabin Supervisor" when designated as such by the Captain.
Professional Development:
- Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent training courses, emergency procedures training sessions, educational workshops, and by ensuring a valid license.
Teamwork:
- Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 to 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: To be in proportion to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no marks or tattoos visible while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Fit to fly, possessing good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality industries is considered an added value.
- Active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
