Cabin Crew - Air Arabia
Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image. They are responsible for enhancing the overall passenger experience by providing exceptional customer service while prioritizing the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the complete flight cycle. The ideal candidate is prepared and capable of operating efficiently, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities:
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, maintaining appropriate grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights.
- Participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, understand role distribution, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, and other relevant information.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as needed.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Greets passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately recording data in the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA guidelines.
- Consistently provides exceptional customer service by addressing pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments for individual sales and donations managed by the Cabin Crew member.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment prior to take-off, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flight.
- Ensures orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight problems or discrepancies, and closing and sealing duty-free containers.
- Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and assumes the duties of the "Cabin Supervisor" when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, while ensuring current license.
- Contributes to team effort by achieving related results and attaining allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 to 30 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportional to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically/Physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages):
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Fit to fly, with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality Industries is an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is a plus.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Possesses the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
