Job Summary
The Cabin Crew serves as a vital ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. The role involves enhancing the overall customer experience by providing excellent service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew is expected to maintain readiness and fitness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, personal fitness, and legal readiness for assigned flights. Participates in pre-flight briefings to confirm understanding of flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instructs passengers effectively on safety procedures to ensure their continuous safety and comfort.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Reports promptly any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as appropriate.
- Welcomes passengers warmly and assists with boarding formalities. Accurately enters necessary data into the aircraft log book following Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Provides consistent excellent customer service by attending to passengers' pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to guidelines in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the “Charity Cloud” program by effectively promoting meals, products, and charity services to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering supplies, and other specified items. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned during transit and that adequate catering and duty-free products are restocked before subsequent flights.
- Manages the orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Participates in post-flight briefings and completes assessment reports according to company policies. Provides objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reports flight problems or discrepancies, and assists with the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accountable to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct. Capable of performing the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training sessions, emergency procedures training, and workshops, and ensures current licensure.
- Contributes effectively to team efforts by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are considered a valuable asset.
- Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Must be presentable, friendly, and demonstrate a cheerful and positive attitude, even under pressure.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to understand and attend to customers’ needs and requests.
- Capable of handling difficult situations and challenging customer interactions effectively without compromising the corporate image.
- Possesses strong focus, capable of identifying irregularities and handling threats and emergencies efficiently with a commitment to successful outcomes.
- Proactive, self-motivated, demonstrates initiative, and contributes positively to teamwork.
- Very good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages such as French, Arabic, Indian languages, or Chinese is an advantage.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous customer service experience in the Airlines/Aviation or Hospitality industries is considered an added value.
- Prior Cabin Crew experience is a plus.
- An active Cabin Crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Ability to contribute effectively and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
