Cabin Crew Member
Air Arabia is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cabin Crew Member to act as an ambassador for the airline. The successful candidate will strive to achieve customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall customer experience. This role requires providing exceptional customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew Member must maintain readiness and fitness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and the company's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, distribution of roles, targets, and security checks.
- Instructs passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to take remedial action according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities and malfunctions promptly.
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Enters necessary data into the aircraft log book according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Provides excellent customer service by attending to individual prebookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following policies and procedures in the Operations Manual.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.
- Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, and catering equipment, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate recatering and duty-free products are provided before flying.
- Ensures orderly handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Carries out post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any problems or discrepancies.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and assumes the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops and by ensuring current licensure.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is preferred.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an advantage.
- Must be fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Must be presentable, friendly, and demonstrate a cheerful and positive attitude, even under stress.
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to understand and attend to customers’ needs and requests.
- Capable of handling difficult situations and addressing challenging customer issues without compromising the company's image.
- Focused and capable of identifying irregularities and handling threats and emergencies efficiently and with commitment.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrates initiative and positive teamwork competency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French, Arabic, Indian Languages, or Chinese is an advantage.
Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous customer service experience in the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is an asset.
- Previous cabin crew experience is considered a plus.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Must be capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
