Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew Member acts as an ambassador for Air Arabia, committed to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. They strive to enhance the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight. The role requires the individual to be consistently prepared and fit for duty, maintaining productivity in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Professional Conduct: Maintains timely attendance, proper grooming, and ensures personal fitness and legality for all assigned flights. Attends pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, roles, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety protocols, guaranteeing their well-being and comfort. Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures. Administers first aid when necessary. Informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain promptly of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Customer Service: Greets passengers and assists with boarding procedures, accurately logging necessary data in the aircraft logbook, following Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA guidelines. Provides consistent, excellent service by addressing individual passenger prebookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and aids passengers experiencing distress or difficulties according to the policies detailed in the Operations Manual. Contributes to revenue maximization and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving both individual and team targets. Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks of supplies, emergency equipment, and catering items; reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are available. Ensures orderly handover of the cabin to catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel. Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports per company policy, providing objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight discrepancies, and securing duty-free containers. Informs the Cabin Supervisor on passenger conduct. Carries out duties of the Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain. Maintains current professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training and workshops, and holding a valid license. Contributes to team goals by achieving sales targets and objectives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is preferred.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an advantage.
- Must be fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Presentable and friendly with a cheerful, positive attitude even under stress.
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to understand and address customer needs.
- Capable of managing difficult situations and upset customers while maintaining a professional image.
- Focused, able to identify irregularities and handle threats and emergencies effectively.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrates positive teamwork.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French, Arabic, Indian languages, or Chinese is beneficial.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in a customer service role within the airline, aviation, or hospitality industries is a plus.
- Previous cabin crew experience is a plus.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Must be capable of working in shifts and for extended hours.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Ability to contribute and successfully deliver according to company policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
