Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as Air Arabia's ambassador, committed to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. They deliver exceptional customer service to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The successful candidate will be ready and equipped to operate efficiently, aligning their productivity with company policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, maintains proper grooming and fitness standards, and adheres to all legal requirements for assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, understand assigned roles, targets, security protocols, boarding procedures, and other relevant information.
Safety Measures:
- Provides clear instructions to passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to take corrective action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Extends a warm welcome to passengers and assists with boarding formalities, meticulously recording relevant data in the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA guidelines.
- Consistently provides exceptional customer service by addressing passengers' pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing onboard revenue and promoting the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting onboard meals, products, and charity services, striving to achieve individual and team targets.
- Ensures the secure and proper handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment are available before takeoff. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before departing.
- Facilitates an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Diligently completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any issues or discrepancies encountered during the flight, and ensuring the secure closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Holds the Cabin Supervisor accountable for passenger conduct and assumes the responsibilities of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops. Ensures their license is up-to-date.
- Contributes to the overall team effort by effectively achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements
- Age: Between 20 to 30 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportionate to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically/Physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is preferred.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Possess good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases, and be fit to fly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality industries is advantageous.
- An active cabin crew license is a significant asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a shift pattern and for extended hours.
- High flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
