The Role: Flying Instructor – Single Engine

As a Flying Instructor at EFTA, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality flying training instruction to ab-initio pilot cadets. Initial instruction will be conducted on the SR-22 single-engine aircraft. The instructional duties encompass a broad spectrum, including on-aircraft flight instruction, in-simulator training, and comprehensive on-ground instruction. Key responsibilities further involve meticulous preparation of lessons, conducting thorough pre-and post-flight briefings, accurate report writing, and objective cadet assessment. Demonstrating proficiency within the single-engine instructional role may lead to future opportunities to transition to the DA42 twin-engine fleet.

Essential Role Requirements

Candidates are required to meet the following stringent qualifications and experience criteria:

  • A Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a Single Engine Piston (SEP) rating.
  • A valid Flight Instructor (FI) rating, inclusive of night and instrument ratings.
  • A minimum of 700 hours total flying time.
  • A minimum of 500 hours instructional flying time.
  • A minimum of 200 hours Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) time.
  • Currently active in an instructional role.
  • English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 5 or higher.
  • A valid License Proficiency Check (LPC).
  • A commitment to relocate to Dubai is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in delivering ab-initio flight training within a large Approved Training Organisation (ATO).

  4. Hire Vue Interview: An online video interview stage.
  5. Psychometric Assessments: Completion of personality and abstract reasoning tests.
  6. Stage 1 (Online Interview – MS Teams): Includes a prepared online presentation followed by a competency-based interview.
  7. Stage 2 (In-Person Assessment in DXB): Comprises a technical assessment (including an advanced compass test), a flying assessment, and a comprehensive medical test.
