The Opportunity
Adobe Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated International Captain to serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of its corporate aircraft on both domestic and international missions. Reporting directly to the Chief Pilot, this pivotal role carries direct responsibility for ensuring the paramount safety and comfort of all passengers and crew, maintaining strict compliance with company policies and global aviation regulations, and executing timely flight operations with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
The International Captain will:
- Drive operational excellence through outstanding customer service, sound judgment, ethical behavior, and a commitment to continuous improvement in all flight operations.
- Ensure the assigned aircraft is operated in full compliance with applicable FAA Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), the Adobe Flight Operations Manual (FOM), and all pertinent state, local, federal, and international aviation regulations, adhering strictly to manufacturer’s specifications and limitations.
- Complete appropriate risk assessment processes and apply FOM risk mitigation strategies, collaborating effectively with the entire flight crew, including the Second-in-Command (SIC), additional pilots, and the Flight Attendant.
- Provide comprehensive pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight briefs to all crew members, ensuring that all critical information is clearly communicated, discussed, and assimilated for optimal flight execution.
- Coordinate, in conjunction with the Flight Attendant, the safety and integrity of all food, beverage, ice, and potable water items brought aboard the aircraft.
- Assume primary responsibility as the main point of contact for Dispatch, Maintenance, and Executive Protection teams, ensuring seamless communication and operational coordination.
- Act as the local point of contact for traveling executive passengers, providing exceptional service and support throughout their journey.
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
Licenses & Certifications:
- A valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with large cabin Turbojet Type rating(s).
- Good physical health and the ability to maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of global experience as Pilot-in-Command of large cabin aircraft within corporate or commercial aviation.
- Extensive flight experience, including a minimum of four thousand (4,000) hours of total flight time.
- A minimum of two thousand (2,000) hours of multi-engine turbojet time, with significant international flight experience.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Detailed familiarity with FAA FAR Part 91 and ICAO regulations.
- Profound knowledge, understanding, and open endorsement of Safety Management System (SMS) philosophies.
- Proficiency in aircraft scheduling, including the use of modern mobile technology applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal, mentorship, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in time management, project management, and team leadership.
Compensation and Benefits
Adobe offers a competitive compensation package that reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The specific salary range for this position will be discussed during the hiring process and may vary based on work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Non-sales roles typically include a base salary and short-term incentives via the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), with certain roles also eligible for long-term incentives through new hire equity awards.
