Aircraft and Crew Manager
ACI Jet is seeking a qualified Aircraft and Crew Manager (ACM) to provide leadership, development, and maintenance for assigned aircraft. The ACM is also responsible for safely and effectively performing duties as a Part 91/135 aircraft pilot, operating applicable type-rated aircraft on behalf of ACI Jet's 135 Certificate. The ideal candidate fosters positive and productive relationships with ACI Jet employees, vendors, and clients through the diligent performance of these duties. External applicants must reside within a 90-minute drive of San Luis Obispo, CA (KSBP) airport.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with ACI Jet Flight Operations Management and the aircraft owner to ensure operational success.
- Maintain overall responsibility for the relationship with the aircraft owner, ensuring satisfaction with the aircraft operation.
- Oversee the aircraft owner's travel arrangements, even when not assigned to the trip.
- Recruit, or assist in the recruitment of, crewmembers for the assigned account.
- Assign crew to all aircraft operations, ensuring a fair workload distribution.
- Ensure the well-being and retention of crew assigned to the account.
- Verify crewmember competence in the performance of their duties.
- Ensure the aircraft is appropriately outfitted for the client and operations.
- Oversee aircraft maintenance in coordination with the Director of Maintenance.
- Lead and oversee aircraft modifications and/or upgrades.
- Ensure revenue and expenses align with owner expectations.
- Verify the accuracy of monthly accounting invoices and complete monthly owner reports.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- Mentor other pilots on the account, fostering their professional development.
- Fulfill duties and responsibilities as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) when assigned.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the assigned aircraft type, maintaining a high level of proficiency and technical knowledge.
- Monitor and disseminate new information regarding the assigned aircraft type, providing explanations when necessary, including flight manual changes, avionics updates, Bombardier Advisory Wire, Gulfstream Journal, Manufacturer Operational Letters (MOLs), and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airworthiness Directives (ADs).
- Respond promptly to operational questions from Dispatch, Maintenance, and Pilots, researching subjects as needed to provide informed and adequate responses.
- Operate ACI Jet aircraft safely and efficiently in compliance with all company rules and regulations, manufacturer's limitations and manuals, governmental rules and regulations, and any other requirements of agencies having jurisdiction over the flight.
- Coordinate with ACI Jet Flight Dispatch personnel to achieve flight operation goals and objectives in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional courtesy, professionalism, and customer service to ACI Jet Charter clients and owners.
- Ensure Electronic Flight Bags (EFB) are kept current with the latest navigation and application dates.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the applicable portions of the ACI Jet Air Carrier Operations Manual (ACOM).
- Thoroughly review and acknowledge revisions to the ACOM in a timely manner.
- Ensure that a proper pre-flight inspection has been accomplished prior to takeoff, including the aircraft, its publications, documentation, equipment, passenger service items, fuel, weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports and departure points, customs, permits, and airport/runway suitability.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3,500 hours total flight time, with a minimum of 1,500 hours in multi-engine aircraft.
- Possession of a current and valid Pilot's Certificate with an English proficient endorsement.
- Must meet the requirements of ICAO Annex I, Section 2.1.10.
- Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating.
- Ability to maintain a First Class Medical Certificate.
- Ability to maintain a valid United States Passport.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 3-5 years of professional aviation experience.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Highly motivated and organized.
- Willingness to reside within approximately 90 minutes of San Luis Obispo Regional Airport (KSBP).

Salary Range: $225,000.00 - $275,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience.
