Services encompass full life cycle support, including air and ground ISR processing, ground and flight training, and delivering complete solutions to government agencies.
Currently, the Defense Group is seeking a Global 6000/6500 Flight Instructor to join the team onsite in El Paso, Texas. This role is integral to supporting the training and proficiency development of the next generation of U.S. Army Fixed-Wing Aviators. The successful candidate will embody high standards of aviator skill, safety, professionalism, and a strong customer focus.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides ground and flight training to U.S. Army personnel.
- Conducts and documents flight evaluations in accordance with the program's approved Program of Instruction (POI) and/or the US Army Global 6000/6500 Aircrew Training Manual (ATM).
- Manages and monitors aircrew crew endurance status to ensure compliance with DCMA 8210.1D, AR 95-20, and 14 CFR Part 91 regulations.
- Assists the Senior Flight Instructor with the development, review, and implementation of the Program of Instruction / Syllabus in accordance with U.S. Army TRADOC requirements.
- Acts as a point of contact for site interaction with the Government Flight Representative (GFR) and other resident U.S. Government personnel.
- Serves as a Contractor's Requesting Official (CRO).
- Operates aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations, and program/corporate policies and procedures.
- Manages all aircraft movement requests, including coordination of Prior Permission Required (PPRs), Aircraft Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) requests, and Air Tasking Order (ATO) compliance.
- Liaises with U.S. Government Flight Operations Personnel and the GFR.
- Performs flight operations duties and responsibilities as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Possesses a Bachelor of Science degree with 17 – 22 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 15 – 20 years of relevant experience, or a Doctorate degree with 13 – 16 years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Holds a current passport and a valid state driver’s license.
- Possesses a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
- Has two (2) or more years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
- Accumulated 1,500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) total time.
- Accumulated 500 hours of PIC time in a Global 6000/6500 aircraft or a similar aircraft type.
- Able to successfully complete a BD-700 Global Vision Type Certification without restrictions.
- Holds at least a Commercial Airplane Multiengine, Instructor Pilot (CFI/MEI) and Instrument Airplane Airman Certificate.
- Possesses an FCC Radio Telephone Operator License.
- Has U.S. military aviation experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a CFI / CFII / MEI certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Holds a BD-700 (6000/6500 series) FAA type rating.
- Possesses an active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Holds a current CFI / CFII / MEI certification.
- Has international experience operating in the North Atlantic High Level Airspace (NAT HLA).
- Holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Accumulated 2,000 hours of PIC time.
- Accumulated 1,500 hours of Multiengine time.
- Accumulated 300 hours of Instrument (actual) time.
- Held the relevant rating for the last three (3) consecutive years.
- Served as a Former U.S. Military Instructor Pilot and Instrument Flight Examiner.
- Served as a U.S. Army Instructor Pilot and Instrument Flight Examiner.
