SCA Aircraft Inspector - A&P Certified
Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled SCA Aircraft Inspector - A&P Certified to join our Defense Systems Sector at Robins AFB, GA. This role focuses on the maintenance generation of the USAF E-11A (Bombardier BD-700 commercial derivative aircraft) fleet. The successful candidate will define and monitor mission assurance program specifications, perform deployed quality control duties, and serve as a site data analyst and technical compliance administrator.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure all aircraft maintenance, including planning, execution, launch, and recovery, adheres to contract guidelines, company policies, and ground operating procedures.

Perform final inspections to ensure aircraft are airworthy prior to Return to Service (RTS).

Ensure strict compliance with FAA and Government Ground Operating Procedures.

Determine requirements for post-maintenance and functional check flights.

Conduct Weight & Balance (W&B) procedures and maintain all required documentation.

Manage logbooks, CAMP, Corridor logs, and other critical quality records.

Develop and implement inspection procedures, including preliminary and hidden damage assessments.

Verify the airworthiness of incoming materials through quality checks.
Requirements

Certification:
Active FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.

Clearance:
Current DoD Secret security clearance is required for start.

Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of military or commercial large aircraft maintenance experience and a minimum of 2 years of Quality Control Aircraft Inspection experience.

Citizenship:
US Citizenship is required.

Travel:
Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time, domestically and internationally, to support mission requirements. Must possess or be able to quickly obtain a US passport.

Deployment:
Ability to pass a deployment medical physical and comply with all US Government/DoD medical requirements.

Flexibility:
Ability to work any shift as needed and obtain/maintain a corporate travel card.

Knowledge:
Strong understanding of FAA airworthiness requirements.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Bombardier BD-700 (CDA), Global XRS, Global 6000, or USAF E-11A aircraft.

Experience with Rolls-Royce BR-710 engines.

3+ years of Quality Control Inspector experience.

Experience operating under AS9100 / 9110 certifications.

6+ years of transport category aircraft experience and special mission aircraft experience.

Prior DoD maintenance program experience.
Additional Information
This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position. Relocation assistance may be available. Salary ranges typically begin at $34.22 - $34.50 per hour, though final offers are based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions. Northrop Grumman is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
