Description

The Assistant Chief Pilot will:

  • Gain the operational control experience necessary to meet the Chief Pilot and Director of Operations requirements spelled out in 14 CFR 119.67
  • Coordinate with HR on pilot recruiting efforts
  • Maintain 10-10 pages
  • Pilot liaison
    • Serve as subject matter expert for pilot issues in the operation
    • Verify expense reports
    • Correct logbook and engine trend monitoring errors
    • Collect pilot debriefs
    • Work to correct pilot pay issues
    • Assist with new hire orientation
    • Coordinate with system travel to address pilot travel-related issues (hotel, air, ground, catering)
    • Resolve miscellaneous problems
  • Maintain pilot face page
  • Assume responsibilities of the Chief pilot when needed for vacation/absence coverage
    • Includes committee representation
  • Maintain CASS and KCM systems
  • Operate flights/trips in the network as required by Flight Management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • First Class Medical
  • 2 years in FAR 121 as a Flight Crewmember
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S
  • Record of dedication to flight discipline and adherence to established standard operating procedures
  • Strong collaboration skills combined with the ability to lead change

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree of higher
  • Experience as FAR 121 Instructor Pilot or Check Airman
  • FAR 121 airline management experience
