SUMMARY:
Serve as a Chief of Standard’s representative in interpreting and implementing the organizations Aircrew Training Program (ATP) with respect to instruction, academics and course-ware. Will be primary for the RW INL/A platform instructor requirements (aircraft systems, flight procedures, etc). Will be Primary Flight Training Device (FTD) and or Simulator Instructor. Primary in the development of all manuals and course-ware. Will maintain and manage training material, and course-ware during sustainment. Assists with currency of aviation references and publications. Assists with the introduction and integration of new aircraft types to the Air Wing, as required. This position is a non-flying position and will be located on Patrick AFB, and may have periods of limited travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Conduct academic course instruction for or UH-60, and UH-1.
– Lead for producing courseware, and academic courses for UH-60, and UH-1, aiircraft qualification, instructor crewmember qualification, and maintenance test pilot qualification courses.
– Will be Primary Flight Training Device (FTD) and or Simulator Instructor.
– Provides technical expertise as a subject matter expert (SME) for RW aircraft types.
– Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
– High school diploma or GED.
– FAA Commercial and Instrument Airmans Certificate Rotorcraft Helicopter.
– Former RW Instructor Pilot
PREFERRED:
– Prior FAA RW CFI/CFII
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
– 2,500 total rotary wing flight hours including 1000 hours of turbine engine time.
– Previous Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified and at least 300 hours of NVG experience.
– 300 hours Instructor Pilot time.
– This role requires the employee to be fully vaccinated against COVID.
PREFERRED:
– Prior INL/A RW IP/SP Experience.
– Prior UH-60 Instructor Pilot Experience.
– Prior Aviation Platform Instruction Experience.
– Prior Experience developing/updating RW Aviation SOPs, Flight Manual, Course-ware.
