Air Steward / Cabin Crew
SAS Scandinavia invites passionate and service-oriented individuals to join its Cabin Crew team as an Air Steward. This role is central to delivering exceptional Scandinavian hospitality, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers across European and Intercontinental routes. The Air Steward plays a vital role in providing a premium travel experience, with a particular focus on curating and overseeing the dining service onboard.
Role and Responsibilities
The Air Steward is committed to exceeding customer expectations on every flight. Key responsibilities include:
- Organizing, structuring, and supervising the dining experience within SAS Business, Plus, and Go classes.
- Providing guidance and briefing to colleagues regarding workflow and service standards throughout the flight.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers.
- Delivering high levels of customer service and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Education or vocational certification in hospitality, such as waiter/waitress, chef, sommelier, or culinary arts, or a demonstrated passion for food and wine, is considered an advantage.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew is desired.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Height must be between 160 cm and 190 cm (without shoes).
- Must have completed education to a minimum level equivalent to high school.
- Must be fluent in English (equivalent to Berlitz level B2 or Gym. Min. B).
- Must possess strong swimming skills.
- Must be able to comply with SAS uniform regulations. This includes restrictions on tattoos (no face tattoos; tattoos with offensive or religious motives and piercings are not permitted according to policy; tattoos on hands or neck must not exceed one centimeter in size and are limited to a maximum of one) and piercings.
- Must hold a valid EU passport permitting unrestricted global travel.
- Must be eligible to live and work permanently in Denmark.
Security Requirements
- Employment is contingent upon passing an approved security interview and background check for access cards.
- Candidates must successfully complete all required training courses.
- Candidates must meet all company requirements set for Cabin Crew.
- Candidates must possess good physical and mental health, including good vision (+/- 0.7 with or without corrections), and be able to obtain a health certificate in accordance with EASA Regulations.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol tests (blood and urine samples) is required before the start of the training course.
- As premises and work are located within airport security areas, candidates must provide an exhaustive police certificate/clean record and obtain approval from aviation authorities.

- Pre-employment Checks: Before an offer of employment can be extended, candidates must successfully complete various checks, including reference checks, criminal record check, security clearance, medical examination, and drug- and alcohol tests.
- Cabin Crew Training: Candidates who successfully pass all requirements will participate in a 4-week Cabin Crew training program designed to prepare them for a career in aviation.
