First Officer - Aviation Professional

Key Responsibilities

• Assists the Captain in maintaining ultimate responsibility and accountability for the safe operation of the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo. Ensures strict adherence to UAE GCAA and international aviation regulations, airline policies, and industry best practices.
• Performs delegated flight duties with precision, professionalism, and in full compliance with operational manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety standards. Fosters a collaborative crew environment through effective leadership and Crew Resource Management (CRM).
• Monitors aircraft systems, performance, and navigation, promptly addressing any irregularities and ensuring adherence to the flight plan. Identifies, documents, and reports safety incidents, SOP breaches, or operational irregularities, proposing enhancements to safety and efficiency.
• Conducts comprehensive pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks to ensure the serviceability of emergency equipment and flight deck systems. Shares responsibility for the aircraft, passengers, and crew from boarding to shutdown, overseeing activities such as fueling and loading, and immediately alerting the Captain to any anomalies.
• Supports the Captain's responsibilities for crew management from the point of duty reporting at the Base of Operations in Dubai, acting in a supporting capacity at outstations and during layovers. Contributes to the safe and efficient management of return flight sectors until release.
• Acts as a brand ambassador for the airline, maintaining exemplary standards of professionalism, discipline, and appearance. Supports the Captain in ensuring the crew consistently upholds the airline's corporate and brand image.
• Operates all flight duties in alignment with the airline's commercial objectives, expertly balancing operational efficiency with an unwavering commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the latest UAE GCAA and international aviation legislation, operational standards, and industry best practices, integrating this knowledge to ensure full legal compliance and adherence to evolving industry trends.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Full professional fluency in English.
• Minimum of 2,500 total flying hours.
• Minimum of 1,000 hours on modern (EFIS), multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft over 10 tonnes operating weight (Pilot-in-Command time is preferable).
• Minimum of 1,500 hours of Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA) flying time.
• ICAO English Language Proficiency (Level 4 or above).
• Unrestricted Class 1 Pilot Medical Certificate from an ICAO-compliant state.
• ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).

Information Security Requirements

The incumbent is expected to read, understand, and comply with the company's Information Security (ISR) policies. This includes diligently reporting any security weaknesses or incidents to the appropriate Line Manager or the Information Security team. Successful candidates must complete all required ISR awareness training and consistently apply associated guidelines in daily business operations.
