Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Manager, Flight Operations
Wing, a subsidiary of Alphabet (Google's parent company), is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Manager to join its Flight Operations team in Dallas, Texas. As a PIC Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Wing's commercial drone delivery service.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain qualification and regularly function as a Part 135 Pilot-in-Command for Wing's drone delivery service.
- Lead and manage a team of 7-9 PICs, fostering professional growth and skill development.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Pilot and Assistant Chief Pilot to ensure PIC availability, readiness, and optimal performance.
- Contribute to the readiness and availability of PIC Stations, Operations Rooms, and associated equipment.
- Onboard and train new crew members, ensuring seamless integration into the team.
- Support public and government outreach initiatives by engaging with stakeholders and promoting Wing's mission.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-6 years of experience in commercial or public Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) operations, including training in civil UAS operations.
- Minimum 1 year of training or operational experience as a flight or ground crew member in crewed aviation.
- Minimum 2 years of people management experience, overseeing 5+ direct reports in aviation, transportation, or other safety-critical industries.
- Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
- Class III (or higher) FAA Medical Certificate.
- Proven experience using resource management software like Deputy or ServiceNow, with the aptitude to learn new systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Google Workspace tools (gdocs, gsheets, gchat, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to interact with public and government officials during facility outreach activities.
- Ability to work a rotating 7-day schedule within crew duty time limits, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation:
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $133,000 - $149,500 USD per year, along with a bonus structure, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits. Specific salary details will be discussed during the hiring process.
