Pilot - Warner Bros. Discovery
Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot to join their team in Burbank, California. This is a full-time, onsite position (Job ID: R000089172). The Pilot in Command reports to the Chief Pilot and is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of flight assignments, prioritizing safety, security, and quality. He or she exercises Pilot in Command authority on all assigned flights and serves as the final authority for their safe execution.
Role Accountabilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determine departure times and routes, and, when necessary, cancel flights based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure flight operations comply with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Implement necessary changes due to enroute conditions, ensuring flight continuation under appropriate company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Conduct flights safely and prudently, adhering to industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork per current procedures.
- Ensure complete understanding with the Second in Command regarding all aspects of the flight.
- Record all aircraft discrepancies on the discrepancy log and report them immediately to the Maintenance Manager or designee. Adhere to the approved MEL and Maintenance Manager instructions for deferral or repair, completing the aircraft discrepancy log as required.
- Verify that the flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and is mentally and physically fit.
- Maintain complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems authorized for operation, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed or as instructed by company management.
- Obtain the most current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS from an FAA flight service station or other authorized agency.
- File, or cause to be filed, a flight plan with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the intended landing airport and alternates.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under the provision of the twelve-five standard security program.
- Conduct required passenger safety briefings or assign the duty per FARs.
- Impart knowledge and skills to the Second in Command to prepare them for Pilot in Command duties in emergencies or upon upgrade.
- Actively support the open sharing of information on all safety issues and report all safety hazards and concerns within the SMS program.
- Report any hazardous action, conduct, or event immediately to the Chief Pilot and Head of Safety.
- Delegate duties as appropriate, while retaining overall responsibility.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Must possess an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with a GVl Type Rating Certificate.
- A current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 5000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
- 1500 hours multi-engine land flight time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- 1500 hours turbojet flight time.
- 1500 Turbine time.
- 100 hours night flight time.
- 75 hours actual or simulated instrument flight time.
- 5 years of corporate aviation experience.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules.
- Willing and able to travel worldwide extensively, without any restrictions.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Physical Demands:
The employee must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including using hands and fingers to handle, feel, or reach; standing, walking, or sitting frequently; occasionally climbing or balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; frequently lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 60 pounds above their heads. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment:
The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and upscale passenger areas. The noise level is usually moderate, with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The hangar environment may be extremely hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
