Position Summary

Waltzing Matilda Aviation (WMA) is seeking direct entry Captains for the ERJ135 fleet operating under FAR Part 135 with the crew base located in Cincinnati.

While practicing “Safety Always” in every aspect of job performance and aircraft operations, WMA pilots inspire air travel by keeping our promises to guests and team members and building customer loyalty to our respective brands. Our pilots are responsible for the safe, efficient, reliable and effective operation of WMA aircraft while always meeting all regulatory requirements and executing company standard operating procedures. WMA Pilots lead by living our values of Safety, Convenient Service and Reliability .

The Captain serves as aircraft manager and is responsible for using best crew resource management (CRM) practices with all of their fellow crewmembers and also all company team members as well.

General Requirements

• At least 23 years of age
• High school graduate or GED. College is preferred, but not required.
• Current passport or other travel documents enabling the bearer to freely exit and re-enter the US (multiple reentry status) and be legally eligible to work in the US (possess proper working documents)

FAA Requirements

• FAA Airline Transport Pilot Multi-Engine Land Rating
• Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  

Flight Time Requirements

• Minimum of 1,500 hours of total documented flight time
• Minimum of 1,000 hours for qualified Military candidates
• Minimum 500 hours of turbine time
• EMB 135/145 type rating (preferred)
• When evaluating the flight time of applicants meeting the basic qualifications, consideration will be given to, among other things, quality, quantity, recency, and verifiability of training; complexity of aircraft flown; types of flight operations; and hours flown as PIC in turbine powered aircraft.
  

Other Requirements

• Applicants invited to interview must provide appropriate documentation of all flight hours, FAA pilot certificates, FAA medical certificate and college transcript
• FCC Radiotelephone Operator's Permit
• DOT required pre-employment drug test
• TSA required fingerprint based Criminal History Records Check and a WMA background check
  

Compensation

Compensation is competitive with similar operators and equipment types and will be commensurate with applicant’s experience.
