Position Summary
Walmart is seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Officer to join its esteemed Aviation team. The First Officer will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of corporate aircraft, ensuring exceptional travel experiences for associates. This role demands strict adherence to all aviation regulations and company standard operating procedures, fostering positive relationships across aviation departments, and demonstrating continuous professional development. The successful candidate will be a proactive, safety-conscious professional dedicated to upholding the highest standards of corporate aviation.
Key Responsibilities
The First Officer will be expected to:
- Provide passengers with safe, timely, efficient, and flexible travel experiences, proactively accommodating amenity needs and providing clear, timely information regarding any schedule changes.
- Prepare and operate corporate aircraft in strict compliance with all federal, state, local, and foreign aviation regulations, as well as the company's Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Flight Operations Center directives, aircraft manufacturers' requirements, and Walmart's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships within Walmart's Aviation teams, including Scheduling, Standards and Training, Flight Operations Center, Safety, Maintenance, Administrative, and Ground Support, to achieve operational objectives.
- Engage in open communication, actively participate in debriefings for flight errors and successes, consistently practice flight discipline, and commit to ongoing improvement of flight skills and knowledge.
- Conduct thorough SOP briefings with crew and passengers, ensuring a comprehensive understanding and adherence to established procedures.
- Demonstrate up-to-date aviation expertise, applying this knowledge to develop, execute, and refine action plans, while providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues in the application of best practices.
- Support and align efforts to meet evolving customer and business needs, building commitment for sound operational perspectives and rationales.
- Contribute to the implementation of business solutions by forging strong relationships with key stakeholders, identifying operational needs, executing necessary processes, monitoring progress, capitalizing on improvement opportunities, and adapting to dynamic demands and organizational changes.
- Model unwavering compliance with company policies and procedures, actively supporting Walmart's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity in all aspects of business processes and practices.
Required Qualifications
- A valid and current Commercial, Instrument, Multi-Engine Pilot Certificate with an English Proficiency endorsement.
- A valid and current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) First-Class Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 2000 total flight hours.
- Eligibility for a valid passport.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range:
The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00.
Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
