EMB-120 Second in Command (SIC)
Berry Aviation is seeking a professional and qualified EMB-120 Second in Command (SIC) to support on-demand cargo flight operations. The successful candidate will assist the Pilot in Command (PIC) and be prepared to assume PIC duties in the event of incapacitation. This role requires a high level of operational readiness and a commitment to safety and company procedures.
Total Compensation
$70,000 - $90,000 per year
Key Responsibilities

Report directly to the assigned Pilot in Command during flight operations.

Execute duties as assigned by the PIC during flight operations.

Monitor and assist with cargo and passenger loading, ensuring equipment is airworthy and secured per company policy.

Adhere to TSA procedures in accordance with the company Twelve-Five Standard Security Program.

Prepare weight and balance documentation and aircraft performance calculations.

Obtain local weather data and ATC clearances to facilitate cockpit preparation.

Assist the PIC with aircraft operation, providing support or hands-on flying as directed.

Maintain on-call status with the ability to arrive at the assigned aircraft within 60 minutes.

Complete all mandatory company initial and recurrent training and testing.
Qualifications
Required
-
FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine Instrument privileges.

Minimum of 500 hours total flight time in airplanes.

Minimum of 25 hours multi-engine flight time in airplanes.

Current FAA First Class Medical.

Possession of or ability to obtain a U.S. Passport.

Possession of or ability to obtain an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit (RR).

Authorized to work in the United States.

High School Diploma.
-
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to relocate within 30 minutes of the assigned domicile.

Ability to travel away from domicile for extended periods.
Preferred
-
FAA Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.

1000 hours total flight time in airplanes.

100 hours multi-engine flight time in airplanes.

Undergraduate degree.
Physical Requirements

Ability to work in confined spaces and at altitudes higher than sea level.

Ability to manipulate, push, pull, and lift heavy objects exceeding 50 lbs.

Capacity to reach, stretch, and twist within confined aircraft spaces.

Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions, including heat and cold.
