Job Summary

Are you a pilot who takes pride in safely and efficiently operating a fixed-wing aircraft for the purpose of transporting company team members, dealer personnel and customers? In this role you will act and assume the duty and responsibility as pilot-in-command with respect to corporate-owned and operated aircraft, including the safety of the flight and passengers at the direction and request of the Chief Pilot. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable being the final authority, in absence of the chief pilot, to operate the aircraft, including starting, delaying, diverting or canceling a flight due to unfavorable conditions, determining flight routes, speed, take off, and landing times to fulfill requested scheduling requirements and safety standards.

What You’ll Do

1. Pilot all company aircraft (Cirrus SR22T, Phenom 100 and Phenom 300) in collaboration with a captain/pilot-in-command.

2. Determine flight routes and times based on scheduling requirements and interpreted weather data. Maintain logs and reports as required.

3. Ensure aircraft is appropriately cleaned, maintained and prepared for flight prior to departure.

4. Establish procedures that ensure the safe operation, storage, and maintenance of aircraft equipment while ensuring the safe travel of Vermeer personnel and their guests; provides courteous service to passengers; and presents a favorable company image to customers and other guests using the aircraft.

5. Assist with the process to track and schedule all required and necessary maintenance on the aircraft(s), verify bills, consult on company’s aircraft budget, actual expenses, and capital expenditures, prepares monthly operation report and update the maintenance schedule.

What We’re Looking For

- Accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program with a minimum of 5 years' experience required.

- Current Airline Transport Pilot Certificate or Commercial Pilot Certificate and relevant ratings required.

- Minimum of 3000 hours total flight time with at least 1000 hours multi-engine and 500 hours turbine.

- Previous type rating required, preferably in the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 airplanes.

- Capable of obtaining and maintaining an FAA Type Certificate on all company aircraft.

- Meet FAA standards for vision correction.

Travel

Significant travel is expected. International travel is required. This position will require flexible schedule to meet business needs to include evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Work Location

REMOTE: A team member’s day-to-day work may be best completed from a location other than a Vermeer campus. There will be instances where the work requires time spent on a Vermeer campus. Discuss specific arrangements with your manager. Remote team members are eligible for business-related reimbursements per the work location policy.
