Job Summary:
V2X GTS seeks a qualified Instructor/Operator (IO) to support the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. The IO will provide essential instruction, services, and oversight for the AH-64D/E W-TRS program, reporting directly to the in-country V2X-GTS Program Manager. This role requires a US citizen with a current US passport.
Responsibilities:

Provide Instructor/Operator (IO) support, services, and oversight for all KAF TADSS (Training, Analysis, Simulation, and other Simulation-related systems).

Deliver advanced AH-64D/E flight instruction to student pilots in accordance with the Army Aircrew Training Manual.

Conduct classroom, simulator, and in-flight training, including performance evaluations.

Prepare simulator flight hour utilization and scheduling reports.
-
Support briefings and demonstrations of simulators.

Conduct pre-flight and in-flight briefings, and post-flight After Action Reviews.

Administer end-of-stage check rides.
-
Provide instruction on aircraft systems, instrument flight, mission scenarios, flight management systems, and emergency procedures.

Facilitate training on fault insertion, Air Traffic Control (ATC) services, and simulator weather control.
-
Determine required training objectives, scope, subjects, tasks, and evaluation criteria.
-
Train pilots to US Army or host nation standards, in accordance with aviation publications and regulations.

Check-in scheduled aircrews, provide requested mission scenario loads, and ensure availability of necessary operational publications and flight planning materials.

Review aircrew flight planning for accuracy, provide critique, instruction, and answer questions.

Conduct debriefings and grading of aircrews per the applicable Aircrew Training Manual, providing written comments in the Individual Aircrew Training Folder (IATF) as required.

Instruct aircrews on techniques and corrective procedures to prevent error repetition.

Provide instruction on day/night/Night Vision Goggle (NVG) contact, emergency procedures, instrument flight, terrain flight, tactics, gunnery, and simulated air traffic control services.

Develop and deliver training tutorials, courseware curriculum, and Programs of Instruction (POI) for military and civilian subjects in English.

Serve as a subject matter expert on aircrew training manuals, aviation procedures, and techniques, staying current with all relevant changes.

Recommend improvements to existing courses and publications.

Develop a flight simulator training Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
-
Assist with maintenance and serviceability assessments of TADSS weapon simulation equipment.
-
Interface with FMS (Foreign Military Sales) customers and provide technical advice and troubleshooting.

Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections of simulators.
-
Perform operational readiness checks and simulator maintenance test flights.

Safeguard and maintain property, materials, and facilities.
-
Ensure contractually required standards, specifications, practices, and quality are maintained.

Observe and follow Quality Control standards.

Provide proficient and professional customer assistance and advice.
-
Coordinate on-site maintenance with designated Foreign Government representatives to deconflict schedules and resolve issues.

Coordinate annual HVAC and Generator system services for LCT (Light Combat Tactical) and document results.
-
Perform other duties as directed by the V2X Program Manager.
Required Qualifications:

High School Graduate (Associate or Bachelor's Degree desired).

Graduate of the U.S. Army AH-64D/E Instructor Pilot and Methods of Instruction course.

Minimum of 5 years as an aviator, with the last AH-64D/E flight within the last 12 months.

Minimum of 1000 hours as a pilot in the AH-64D/E.

Minimum of 250 hours as an Instructor Pilot in the AH-64D/E.

Computer literacy, including word processing, database input, electronic publications, web access, briefing/debriefing software, and electronic forms/grade sheets.

Ability to support periodic travel.

Familiarity with the operation of a military flight training base.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work overtime as required.
-
Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lift a maximum of 50 pounds.

Must be a United States citizen with proof of citizenship and a current U.S. passport.
Certifications:
-
Must maintain a current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) second-class Medical Certificate or an Army Class 2 Flight Duty Medical Exam (FDME) if a member of the National Guard or Reserves.
Other Requirements:

Ability to walk and/or climb stairs and ladders into simulator or aircraft cockpits.

Ability to stoop, bend, and crawl on or under training devices.

Ability to detect odors, noises, or other sounds to identify potential problems.

Ability to distinguish colors.

Ability to meet requirements to obtain a Work Permit and Residency Visa in Kuwait.

Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a US Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Kuwait Driver's License.

Willingness to travel and work in compliance with OSHA and V2X Safety policies.

Possess a US Passport with at least 2 years of remaining eligibility.

Ability to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to 8 hours/day and sit for up to 3 hours/day; climb/descend stairs; grasp or handle objects; use finger dexterity; bend elbows/knees; reach above/below shoulders; read/interpret typewritten print; communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
