Job Overview: Apache Instructor Operator (AH-64 D/E)
V2X GTS is seeking a qualified Instructor Operator (IO) to provide professional aviation instruction and Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) oversight in support of the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. The Instructor Operator reports directly to the in-country V2X-GTS Program Manager and plays a critical role in maintaining high standards for aircrew training and simulator operational readiness.
Responsibilities

Provide expert AH-64D/E flight instruction to student pilots in accordance with the U.S. Army Aircrew Training Manual.

Conduct classroom, in-flight, and simulator training, including performance evaluations, pre-flight/post-flight briefings, and After Action Reviews.

Manage simulator utilization, scheduling, and operational readiness, including conducting maintenance test flights and pre-flight inspections.

Deliver instruction on aircraft systems, instrument flight, emergency procedures, NVG operations, and mission scenarios.

Develop and maintain training materials, including courseware, curricula, and Programs of Instruction (POI).

Serve as a subject matter expert on aviation procedures and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards.

Interface with KAF personnel to deconflict training schedules and resolve technical maintenance issues for TADSS equipment.

Coordinate facility services for LCT HVAC and generator systems.

Maintain high quality control standards and safeguard site property and materials.
Required Qualifications

United States citizenship with a valid U.S. passport (proof required).

High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Graduate of the U.S. Army AH-64D/E Instructor Pilot and Methods of Instruction course.

Minimum 5 years of experience as an aviator, with AH-64D/E flight activity within the last 12 months.

Minimum 1,000 total flight hours in the AH-64D/E.

Minimum 250 hours as an Instructor Pilot in the AH-64D/E.

AH-64Ev6 qualification preferred.

Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, database entry, and electronic briefing software.

Familiarity with the operations of a military flight training base.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to support periodic travel and work overtime as required.
Work Schedule
The standard work week consists of five days per week for up to eight hours per day at the OCONUS work site.
