Flight Attendant
United Airlines is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join its team as Flight Attendants. As a Flight Attendant, the individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers while providing exceptional customer service. The Flight Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of safety and adhering to all safety regulations. The Flight Attendant will represent United Airlines with pride, influencing customer loyalty through excellent service.
Flexibility is essential, as Flight Attendants must be available for global assignments 24/7, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. They will fulfill reserve assignments on short notice and may be away from their base for extended periods. Dependability and timeliness are critical for success in this role.

- Serve and/or sell food and beverages (including alcohol) in a diligent and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
- High school graduate or GED; 2 or more years of college preferred.
- At least one year of customer service experience in the service industry (retail, hospitality, food, teaching/education, aviation, social service).
- Ability to speak in a clear, concise, and organized manner, loud enough to be heard in an emergency.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Must be able to read and speak Italian fluently.
- Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
- Ability to communicate effectively in high-stress situations.
- Professional appearance and excellent grooming standards.
- Willingness to adhere to uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines.
- Ability to proficiently operate electronic devices.
- Must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining.
- Ability to travel to and from all countries United serves without restrictions.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects, and push/pull beverage carts.
- Ability to pass a functional reach assessment.
- Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule in support of United's 24/7 operation.
- Must be willing to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
- Must be able to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens.
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check, including criminal background history.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting hourly flight pay of $28.88/hour with top of base scale at $67.11/hour.
- Seniority-based pay increases.
- Additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international trips.
