Responsibilities:
- Ensure the highest levels of safety on board the aircraft.
- Adapt to diverse customer-facing scenarios, demonstrating a "People-First" approach.
- Provide direct engagement with customers through excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to resolve issues with understanding, compassion, and grace.

- Be available for global assignments 24/7, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Fulfill reserve assignments on short notice and be away from base for extended periods.

- Serve and sell food and beverages, including alcohol, in a diligent and professional manner.
- Effectively communicate in high-stress situations, such as aircraft evacuations, security threats, delays, medical emergencies, severe weather, and turbulence.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent; two or more years of college preferred.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a service-related industry (e.g., retail, hospitality, food service, education, aviation, social services).
- Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and loudly enough to be heard in an emergency.
- Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing, and understanding).
- Fluency in Greek (speaking and reading).
- Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
- Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards and uniform guidelines.
- Tattoos are permitted on arms, wrists, legs, and feet, provided they are not larger than a credit card and are not offensive. Tattoos are prohibited on the head, hands, and neck.
- No decorative covers, adornments, or jewelry on teeth or in the mouth are permitted.
- Proficiency in operating electronic devices (phones, tablets, laptops).
- Possession of a valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining. Must be in good condition.
- Ability to travel to and from all countries United serves without restrictions.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects (such as luggage), and push/pull beverage carts (up to 250 lbs.).
- Ability to pass a functional reach assessment with a combined 76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal reach.
- Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Successful completion of an evacuation drill in water (pool) during training.
- Willingness to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
- Ability to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens.
- Ability to pass a 10-year background check.
Training:
New hires will participate in a comprehensive 6.5-week training program in Houston, TX, covering United's safety and customer service standards. A $140/week per diem, accommodations, breakfast, and lunch are provided during training. Upon successful completion, graduates will be assigned to one of United's hub locations or other flight attendant base locations. Relocation funds are not provided.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting hourly flight pay of $28.88/hour, with top of base scale at $67.11/hour.
- Seniority-based pay increases and additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international trips.

- $1,000 bonus upon successful completion of training.
