The Flight Attendant is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of safety and providing exceptional customer service. The Flight Attendant represents United Airlines with pride and distinction, fostering customer loyalty through excellent service.

Flexibility is paramount, as Flight Attendants must be available for global assignments 24/7, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. They will fulfill reserve assignments on short notice and may be away from their base for extended periods. Dependability and timeliness are critical to success in this role.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent; two or more years of college preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a service industry (retail, hospitality, food, education, aviation, social service, etc.).
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand Hebrew fluently.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, even in high-stress situations.
  • Professional appearance and willingness to adhere to uniform and grooming guidelines.
  • Must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining.
  • Must be able to travel to and from all countries United serves without restrictions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects, and push/pull beverage carts.
  • Ability to pass functional reach assessment.
  • Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must successfully complete an evacuation drill in water (pool) during training.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year background check.

Benefits:

United Airlines offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting hourly flight pay of $28.88/hour with top of base scale at $67.11/hour, with seniority-based pay increases and additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international trips. New hires will attend a 6.5-week training program in Houston, TX, where they will learn United's safety and customer service standards. United provides a \$140/week per diem, accommodations, breakfast, and lunch during training. Upon successful completion of training, Flight Attendants will be assigned to one of United's hubs or other base locations.
