United Airlines Flight Attendant
United Airlines is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join its team as Flight Attendants. As a Flight Attendant, the individual will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers while providing exceptional customer service. The Flight Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of safety while demonstrating a "People-First" approach. This includes adapting to diverse customer needs, resolving issues with understanding and grace, and representing United Airlines with pride. Flexibility is essential, as Flight Attendants must be available for global assignments 24/7, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours, fulfilling reserve assignments on short notice. The ideal candidate is a team player with a consistent track record of working independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
- High school graduate or GED; two or more years of college preferred.
- At least one year of customer service experience in the service industry (e.g., retail, hospitality, food, teaching/education, aviation, social service).
- Must be able to speak in a clear, concise, and organized manner, loud enough to be heard in an emergency.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Must be able to read and speak Dutch fluently.
- Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
- Effectively communicate in high-stress situations.
- Professional appearance and willingness to adhere to uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines.
- Must possess a valid passport prior to application with 18 months validity remaining prior to its expiration.
- Ability to travel to and from all countries United serves without restrictions.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects, and push and pull beverage carts.
- Ability to pass a functional reach assessment.
- Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule in support of United’s 24/7 operation.
- Must successfully complete an evacuation drill in the water during training.
- Must be willing to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
- Must be able to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens.
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check.
Benefits:
United Airlines offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting hourly flight pay of $28.88, with the top of the base scale at $67.11 per hour. Additional compensation is available for language skills, lead positions, and international trips. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), vacation, and sick time. Flight privileges extend to the employee, their family, and friends, allowing them to fly worldwide on a stand-by status. United Airlines also provides inclusive uniform standards to allow employees to express individuality and authenticity at work. During the 6.5 week training in Houston, TX, United provides a $140/week stipend, along with accommodations, breakfast, and lunch. Successful training graduates will receive a $1,000 bonus.
