Key Responsibilities
As a United Airlines Flight Attendant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and positive experience for our passengers. This includes:
- Safety Champion: Maintain the highest levels of safety and security onboard, adhering to all FAA regulations and United Airlines procedures.
- Customer Service Ambassador: Deliver exceptional customer service with a "People-First" demeanor, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to resolving issues with grace.
- Team Player: Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team to ensure smooth flight operations.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing schedules, diverse passenger needs, and unexpected situations with professionalism and composure.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Minimum age of 21 years at the time of application.
- High school diploma or equivalent; two or more years of college preferred.
- At least one year of customer service experience in a service-oriented industry.
- Excellent communication skills, including fluency in English and German (written and spoken).
- Ability to remain calm and communicate effectively in high-stress situations.
- Professional appearance and adherence to uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines.
- Physical ability to perform the demands of the role, including lifting heavy objects, pushing beverage carts, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
- Valid U.S. passport book or foreign passport book with applicable visas and at least 18 months of remaining validity.
- Ability to travel globally without restrictions to all destinations served by United Airlines.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
