- Starting hourly flight pay of $28.88/hour, with the top of the base scale at $67.11/hour.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
- High school diploma or GED required; 2 or more years of college preferred.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience in the service industry (retail, hospitality, food service, teaching/education, aviation, social service, etc.).
- Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and loudly in an emergency.
- Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing, and understanding).
- Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
- Effectively communicate in high-stress situations (aircraft evacuation, security threats, delays, medical emergencies, severe weather, turbulence).
- Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards and uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines. Tattoos are not permitted on the head, hands, or neck.
- Proficiency in operating electronic devices (phones, tablets, laptops, etc.).
- Valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining. Must be in possession of the passport book prior to starting training.
- Ability to travel to and from all countries United serves without restrictions. Applicants are responsible for identifying and verifying travel eligibility.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects (luggage), and push/pull a beverage cart (up to 250 lbs.).
- Ability to pass a functional reach assessment (76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal).
- Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
- Ability to serve and/or sell food and beverages (including alcohol) professionally.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule supporting United's 24/7 operation (weekdays, weekends, holidays, etc.).
Onboarding and Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of a water evacuation drill during training.
- Willingness to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
- Must be able to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens. Medical and recreational marijuana use is prohibited.
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check.
