Position Summary
The Pilot in Command (PIC) operates aircraft under FAR parts 135 and 91, ensuring the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. The PIC reports directly to the Chief Pilot and is responsible for managing all aspects of flight operations, including schedule communication, duty time management, and adherence to company policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure strict compliance with TDA policies, procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations.

Manage duty, flight, and rest times in accordance with CFRs and company standards.

Maintain consistent communication with the flight department regarding standby duty, trip notifications, and flight reporting.

Maintain a current 1st Class Medical certificate.

Proactively identify and communicate operational or flight department issues to the Chief Pilot.

Fulfill all assigned duties as directed by the Chief Pilot.

Adhere to all company GOM and SOP revisions and updates.
Core Requirements

Total Time: 2,800 hours.

Total Multi-Engine Time: 1,000 hours.

Total Turbine Time: 250 hours.

ATP certificate or ability to obtain.

Current 1st Class Medical.

Valid driver’s license.

Unrestricted ability to travel internationally (e.g., Mexico, Canada).

Must reside within a 2-hour call-out radius of Wheeling, IL (PWK).

Must pass a comprehensive background check, fingerprint-based criminal records check (per 14 CFR Part 1542), and pre-employment/random drug and alcohol testing.

Authorization to work in the U.S. as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.
Preferred Qualifications

Type Rating: Lear 45 (LJ45) highly preferred; willingness to train the right candidate.

Total Time: 3,000 hours.

Current in Lear 45 (minimum 25 hours).

EFIS experience.

Clean FAA record.

4-Year College Degree or equivalent.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The position requires work in indoor and outdoor airport environments, including FBOs, terminals, and aircraft, often involving extreme temperature ranges. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical requirements include:

Ability to perform repetitive tasks and maintain positions for extended periods.

Ability to lift baggage weighing an average of 50 lbs., with occasional requirements to lift up to 100 lbs.
