Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s AirFlite, Inc. is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Aircraft Captain.

The primary responsibility of this role is to act as the Pilot in Command (PIC) supporting all international and domestic flight operations for AirFlite, Inc.

Reporting to the Chief Pilot, the person in this role will support the Corporate Flight Operations department objective to provide safe, dependable, and professional transportation for all individuals traveling on the corporate aircraft.

What you’ll be doing

  • Conduct preflight planning and inspections to ensure that the aircraft meets all performance and airworthiness requirements.
  • Ensure flights comply with all departmental operating policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Perform all expected duties pertaining to the flight including selection of the safest and most efficient routes and airports, providing for contingencies, developing alternative routes, calculating weight and balance, evaluating weather, and ensuring that all permits, permissions, and necessary documents are in order.
  • Supervise and direct the activities of all assigned crew members throughout the trip. Brief cockpit crew members on all pertinent aspects of flight operations, including any special considerations.
  • Coordinate the function of all crewmembers to ensure the maximum flow of information, compliance, completion of checklists, and an orderly conduct of the flight.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current advancements in the aviation industry by attending and participating in professional courses, seminars, and conferences.
  • Perform other ancillary duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot and the Director of Aviation.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher), or equivalent professional work experience.
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multi-Engine Land Rating.
  • International operations flight crew experience
  • Passport with no restrictions to international travel.
  • FCC Radio Telephone Operators Permit.
  • FAA First Class medical certificate.
  • Airline Transport Pilot Multi Engine Rating with a minimum of 3000 hours of total flight time, including a minimum of 1000 hours in turbine-powered aircraft as the Pilot in Command, 1500 hours of cross-country time, 1000 hours of multi-engine time, 300 hours of actual instrument time, and 250 night flight hours.
  • Experience in decision making skills with the ability to provide guidance and leadership to additional crew members while acting in role as Pilot in Command.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, if not less.
  • This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that is acceptable by company standards is required for this position.

Added bonus if you have

  • Gulfstream G550 and/or Gulfstream G650 Type Rating.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Working proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook).
