The Corporate Pilot Role

Tanimura & Antle is seeking a highly competent Corporate Pilot to ensure the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. This pivotal role is instrumental in facilitating business travel throughout North America, maintaining the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service. The Corporate Pilot will meticulously plan flight routes, conduct comprehensive pre- and post-flight inspections, closely monitor weather conditions, and operate a Learjet 75 (LR-45-525) with exceptional professionalism and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a Learjet 75 (LR-45-525) for flights across North America.
  • Execute thorough pre-flight checks, in-flight monitoring, and post-flight inspections in strict adherence to FAA regulations and company policies.
  • Verify all aspects of flight planning, including aircraft performance, altitude, weather conditions, and associated safety considerations.
  • Collaborate effectively with air traffic control, crew members, and other company personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and effective flight operations during all flight phases.
  • Provide courteous, professional, and reliable service to passengers and company representatives.
  • Implement and maintain effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) at all times.
  • Ensure the accuracy and currency of all avionics databases.
  • Exercise conservative judgment in decisions regarding flight initiation, delay, or termination, prioritizing schedule adherence within safe operating parameters.
  • Demonstrate appropriate and timely situational awareness, decision-making capabilities, and communication skills in response to evolving conditions or emergency scenarios.
  • Assist the Chief Pilot with assigned trip-related administrative duties.
  • Maintain current knowledge and compliance with all applicable FAA regulations, company aviation policies, and operational requirements.
  • Maintain proficiency and currency as Pilot in Command (PIC) for all assigned aircraft and any other duties crucial for flight safety.
  • Successfully complete regular recurrent training programs for all aircraft operated as PIC.
  • Promptly report all aircraft maintenance discrepancies to the Chief Pilot.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate requested flight schedules and itineraries.
  • Uphold a professional demeanor through appropriate attire, confident presentation, and the delivery of courteous and genuine service to passengers, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required to support company flight operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a multi-engine land rating, or ATP-CPT.
  • Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Valid U.S. Passport.
  • Minimum Flight Experience:
    • 1,500 total flight hours in fixed-wing aircraft
    • 1,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC)
    • 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Land
    • 500 hours Multi-Engine Land (PIC)
    • 1,000 hours in turbine aircraft
  • Proficient understanding of FAA regulations, flight planning methodologies, and safety management systems.
  • Adeptness with flight planning software such as ForeFlight, and proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • A strong customer service orientation with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation or a related field.
  • LR75 Type Rating.
  • Proficiency with Garmin 5000 avionics.
  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation.
