Tasks
As a Pilot, the individual represents SWISS. Working collaboratively with the entire crew, the Pilot ensures guests reach their destination safely and punctually, while sharing responsibility for the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo onboard. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating SWISS aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, upholding punctuality, economy, and a high standard of quality for guests.
- Conducting flight preparation and execution in accordance with SWISS procedures.
- Collaborating effectively with the crew, ground staff, and air traffic control.
- Supporting and deputizing for the Commander in all relevant aspects.
- Continuously maintaining and deepening professional knowledge through self-driven learning.
- Acting responsibly and sustainably.
- Operating as an integral, mature, and loyal personality demonstrating strong social competence and leadership potential.
Requirements
To be considered for a Pilot position with SWISS, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Direct Entry applicants with a valid Airbus Type Rating + ME/IR Rating with PBN and a minimum of 800 hours on type should apply via a separate link.
- Completed education equivalent to Matura/Abitur (Swiss/German university entrance qualification) or HF Diploma (Swiss higher vocational education) or general/subject-specific university entrance qualification.
- Hold an ATPL(A) / CPL(A)/IR with ATPL Theory / MPL License (EASA Part-FCL).
- Completed Advanced UPRT Training in accordance with EASA.FCL.745 & APS MCC JET.
- Possess a valid Medical Class 1 Certificate.
- Provide a seamlessly documented flight record (logbook extracts, license, etc.).
- Hold Swiss citizenship or an EU-27/EFTA passport.
- Demonstrate very good German language skills (minimum B2 level if not native/everyday language) and good conversational English skills (minimum ICAO Level 4).
- Possess an impeccable record/reputation.
- Be generally willing to receive vaccinations approved in Switzerland (including COVID-19, yellow fever, etc.).
- Meet the height requirement of 160-198cm.
- Be no older than 56 years based on the collective bargaining agreement (GAV).
