Role Summary
As a pilot at SWISS, the individual represents the airline and, together with the entire crew, ensures passengers are transported safely and on time to their destination. The role involves carrying the responsibility for the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo on board.
Responsibilities
- Operates SWISS aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, paying attention to punctuality, economy, and a high standard of quality for guests.
- Conducts flight preparation and execution according to SWISS specifications.
- Collaborates effectively with the crew, ground personnel, and Air Traffic Control.
- Supports and deputizes the Commander in all aspects.
- Independently and continuously maintains and deepens professional knowledge.
- Acts responsibly and sustainably.
- Operates as an integral, mature, loyal personality with social competence and leadership potential.
Requirements
The following criteria must be met for the pilot position at SWISS:
- Completed education equivalent to Matura/Abitur or a Diploma HF, or general (specialised) university entrance qualification.
- Possession of an ATPL(A) / CPL(A)/IR with ATPL theory / MPL license (EASA Part-FCL).
- Holds a Medical Class 1 Certificate.
- Provision of fully documented flight experience (e.g., logbook extract, license, etc.).
- Possesses Swiss or EU-27/EFTA citizenship/passport.
- Demonstrates very good German language skills (minimum B2 level required if German is not mother/everyday language) and good conversational English skills (minimum ICAO Level 4).
- Has an impeccable record/reputation.
- Is willing to receive vaccinations approved in Switzerland (including COVID-19, Yellow Fever, etc.).
- Height is between 160cm and 198cm.
- Is no older than 56 years (based on collective bargaining agreement).
- Possesses an MCC document.
- Has completed Advanced UPRT Training according to EASA.FCL.745 (document must be submitted).
