Summit Air, a leader in northern and remote aviation, is seeking experienced Flight Attendants to join its expanding team in the Quebec area. The Flight Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, delivering exceptional customer service, and upholding all safety regulations throughout the flight. Summit Air, headquartered in Yellowknife, NWT, operates across Canada, specializing in passenger charters, cargo transport, and customized flight solutions for industry-leading clients.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Safety: Ensuring the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft through strict adherence to Company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This includes conducting pre-flight safety checks, demonstrating safety procedures, monitoring the cabin for any signs of distress, and providing assistance during emergency situations such as evacuations or medical incidents.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Welcoming passengers and engaging with them throughout the flight to cultivate a comfortable and friendly environment. Responsibilities include assisting with seating, serving food and beverages, maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the cabin, and ensuring adequate commissary stock is available for subsequent flights.
  • Reporting: Completing and submitting all required safety reports (e.g., SMS reports) and ensuring the general orderliness of the aircraft to contribute to the on-time departure of every flight.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Previous Flight Attendant experience is considered an asset, but is not mandatory.
  • Must maintain current training and qualifications on relevant aircraft.
  • Must be able to obtain a Transport Canada security clearance.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces.
  • Comfortable working at high altitudes in a pressurized cabin.

Working Conditions:

  • Initial three weeks of training are required.
  • The position involves working three days a week in 15-hour shifts and includes reserve coverage.
  • Availability on a 24/7 basis during the work week is required.
