Bilingual Flight Attendant - Toronto Base
Air Canada Rouge seeks enthusiastic and dedicated individuals with a passion for travel to join its Toronto base. This position requires relocation to Toronto, and relocation assistance is not provided.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare the aircraft for customer boarding, ensuring thorough knowledge of the service and safety plan for the flight.
- Communicate with customers through one-on-one interactions and general intercom announcements, maintaining a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Welcome customers and engage with them throughout the flight, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Adhere to all mandatory safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the flight deck crew (pilots) to ensure a smooth and well-operated flight with exceptional customer communication.
- Provide inflight snack, meal, and beverage service, as well as the sale of onboard products.
- Operate and assist with the inflight entertainment system.
- Assist customers with various needs, including carry-on baggage stowage, seating arrangements, and general comfort.
- Handle onboard incidents and emergencies, including providing First Aid as needed.
- Maintain the general orderliness of the aircraft.
- Share customer feedback with management and actively contribute to the ongoing evolution of Air Canada Rouge to provide the best possible customer experience.
- Complete and submit required safety reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Possession of at least a high school diploma.
- Valid Canadian Passport without restrictions.
- Residence within 90 minutes of Toronto Pearson Airport or willingness to relocate.
- Ability to obtain a Transport Canada security clearance.
- Access to the internet for last-minute changes and communications.
- Comfort working at high altitudes in a pressurized cabin.
- Customer service experience is an asset.
- Candidates must meet Air Canada Rouge medical standards for safety-critical work. A medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test, will be required. Candidates must be free of any intoxicating substances.
Language Skills:
- Fluency in both English and French is preferred.
- Additional language proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Greek, Italian, Hebrew, Japanese, German, Punjabi, Hindi, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Korean is highly valued.
