Challenger 650 Captain Position – Austin, TX

Solairus Aviation seeks a highly skilled and experienced Challenger 650 Captain to join its operations based at KEDC airport. This full-time position requires a dedicated individual committed to excellence in safety, service, and adherence to Solairus Aviation's distinguished operational culture. The successful candidate will be a valued team member, contributing to the safe and efficient transport of clients.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

The Captain will be responsible for the safe and prudent operation of the Challenger 650 aircraft, encompassing:

Conducting all flights in strict compliance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
Thorough pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
Comprehensive review of weather conditions and facilities along the planned route, including designated alternate airports.
Maintaining a meticulous record of maintenance status for the aircraft.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers and crew members.
Accurate and timely completion of all necessary trip documentation.

Qualifications:

Total flight time: 3,000 hours
Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time: 1,500 hours
Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time: 1,500 hours
Multi-Engine Land PIC time: 500 hours
Turbojet time: 500 hours
Instrument time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications:

Type rating on a Challenger 650 or comparable aircraft.
Current First-Class Medical Certificate.
Availability for on-call duty.
Ability to complete annual ICAO International procedures training.
Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KEDC, or willingness to relocate.

Compensation:

Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $500,000 annually, commensurate with experience, geographic location, aircraft type, job responsibilities, training, and assigned account.
