Flight Attendant - Private Aviation
Solairus Aviation seeks a highly motivated and experienced Flight Attendant to join its growing team based in South Florida. This is a full-time position requiring a dedicated individual with a passion for delivering exceptional service within a demanding and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during flight.
- Explain the use of safety equipment and provide comprehensive pre-flight briefings.
- Serve food and beverages, catering to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
- Manage passenger requests, including special arrangements for children, elderly individuals, and passengers with disabilities.
- Assist with boarding and disembarking procedures.
- Administer basic first aid and provide reassurance during situations such as turbulence.
- Secure the cabin according to federal regulations before takeoff and landing.
- Verify that all emergency equipment, including first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and oxygen bottles, are in working order.
- Prepare and present high-quality meals for passengers and crew.
- Maintain a clean and organized cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each leg of the journey.
- Shop for any special items requested by passengers.
- Complete all necessary pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight paperwork.
- Operate audio and video systems, cabin management systems, and galley equipment.
- Ensure that the aircraft is consistently prepared for flight, including cleaning and restocking.
- Conduct periodic cabin inspections to ensure passenger comfort and maintain cleanliness.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- Proven expertise in culinary arts and advanced culinary training is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Current First Aid Training Certification.
- Flight attendant specific training from FlightSafety, FACTs or similar organizations is preferred.
- Candidates without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on relevant experience but must complete initial flight attendant training prior to flight assignment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a constantly changing schedule.
- Technologically savvy, with experience in operating various equipment and systems.
- Flexibility, patience, and the ability to manage challenging situations.
- College degree preferred.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages is a significant advantage.
- Availability to fly on short notice, with a 2-3 hour response time for standby assignments.
- Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide (including compliance with health and visa requirements).
- Capacity to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
- Experience with small children is highly valued.
Physical Requirements:
- Excellent vision (correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses).
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Physical strength and stamina to stand for extended periods (up to 14 hours) and work long hours in various climates.
- Ability to kneel, stoop, bend, and maneuver in tight spaces within the aircraft.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 25-30 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to operate and manipulate various equipment, including the cabin door (weighing up to 130 pounds).
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $500,000, dependent on experience, geographic location, equipment type, job duties, training, and the specific account assigned.
