Position Mission

As a pilot within SkyShare's Part 135 flight department based in Salt Lake City, Utah, the First Officer will leverage their flying expertise to provide clients with the highest standards of service and safety.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, checklists, and best practices.
  • Perform flight duties for up to 14 hours per day during trips, potentially spanning 8 consecutive days, often crossing multiple time zones and encountering diverse weather conditions.
  • Maintain availability for a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Be available for overnight trips, requiring stays away from home for several days.
  • Must reside within 1 hour of the Salt Lake International Airport or commit to relocation within 2 months of hire. Commuting is not permitted for this position.

Required Qualifications:

  • FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with appropriate category and class.
  • Minimum 1000 hours total flight time, with specific requirements for active Certified Flight Instructors (CFI).
  • Minimum 50 hours multi-engine flight time.
  • Minimum 50 hours instrument flight time.
  • Minimum 150 hours cross-country flight time.
  • Valid FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • FAA Instrument Rating.
  • Valid U.S. passport and driver’s license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass TSA background checks and secure an appropriate SIDA badge when applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Part 135 experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule: Fluid schedule on a managed aircraft.

Training: Includes an 18-month repayment contract, broken down quarterly.
