The Training Program
Successful candidates will undertake an intensive training program to acquire the necessary professional qualifications. Training is conducted at Singapore Flying College, with locations in Singapore and overseas. Upon successful completion of the training syllabus, cadets will undergo further training specifically for their appointment as First Officers. A monthly allowance is provided throughout the training phase.
Requirements
Applicants for the Ab Initio Cadet Pilot position based in Singapore are required to meet the following criteria:
- Possess an educational qualification equivalent to GCE ‘A’ Level, Diploma, or Degree. Alternatively, a minimum of five GCE ‘O’ Level credits is required, achieved in a single sitting, which must include English, Mathematics, and a Science subject.
- Have myopia not exceeding 800 degrees and astigmatism not exceeding 300 degrees, provided these are fully correctable with optical aids.
- Meet a minimum height requirement of 1.58 meters to ensure the ability to effectively perform safety and emergency procedures on board.
- Any nationality is eligible to apply.
Selection Process
The selection process involves multiple stages, including the initial online application, an interview with senior management, a simulator assessment to evaluate aptitude, and a comprehensive medical check-up to ensure fitness for flight duties. All interviews are held in Singapore.

Bond
