Direct Entry Captain – Join a World-Class Airline

Singapore Airlines is seeking highly skilled and experienced aviation professionals to join their esteemed team as Direct Entry Captains. This role offers a unique opportunity to pilot state-of-the-art aircraft within a globally recognized airline. The successful candidate will be a leader in the cockpit, ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers while adhering to the highest operational standards.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possesses a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate, recognized or validated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
  • Holds a valid Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL), recognized or validated by CAAS. Eligibility for foreign license validation will be assessed.
  • Maintains a minimum of 7,000 total flying hours, including at least 3,000 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours on commercial jet aircraft in international operations.
  • Demonstrates fluency in English, both spoken and comprehended, with an ICAO English Level 5 proficiency or above for inflight radio-telephony communications.
  • Meets the minimum height requirement of 1.62 meters to effectively perform safety and emergency procedures onboard.

Selection Process:

Applicants will proceed through a rigorous selection process that includes, but is not limited to: an online application, multiple interviews, a comprehensive simulator assessment, and a thorough medical check-up. Only candidates progressing to the next stage will be contacted.

Remuneration and Service Benefits:

The Direct Entry Captain will be offered a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

  • A fixed annual salary package equivalent to 13 months.
  • A performance-based profit-sharing bonus, dependent on the company's financial success.

Aircraft Assignment:

Successful candidates may be assigned to the Boeing 747, Boeing 787, or Boeing 737 fleet, based on operational needs.

Training and Bonding:

Where applicable, newly-hired Captains will undergo comprehensive training to acquire an Aircraft Type Rating. A relevant training bond will be applicable and will be explained during the recruitment process.
