A220 Captain (Singapore-based)

To strengthen the Flight Operations team in Singapore, Jet Aviation is seeking an experienced A220 Captain. The Captain is responsible for supporting aircraft operations, maintaining the highest standards of flight safety and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing professional service to clients. This role reports to the Director of Flight Operations and is specifically focused on the A220 fleet based in Singapore.
Description of Tasks:
- Ensures the safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo onboard.
- Complies with all operational procedures and checklists in accordance with the provisions of the Operations Manual (FOM).
- Confirms all crew members are at their stations prior to take-off, final approach, and landing.
- Prohibits any crew member from performing activities during critical flight phases (take-off, initial climb, final approach, landing) other than those required for the safe operation of the aircraft.
- Ensures flight data and cockpit voice recorders are not disabled or erased, unless data needs to be conserved for investigation and would otherwise be automatically erased.
- Coordinates work distribution within the flight crew to achieve maximum airmanship for the conduct of the flight.
- Ensures precise navigation and observes minimum altitudes.
- Observes the limitations of all aircraft systems and ensures the proper use and handling of the aircraft.
- Enforces the strict use of checklists.
- Ensures the amount of usable fuel remaining is sufficient to proceed to an airport where a safe landing can be made, with final reserve fuel remaining.
- Maintains close contact with the cabin crew to ensure all requirements concerning cabin safety are being followed.
- Ensures flight and technical logs are completed accurately.
- Files written occurrence and accident reports if the necessity arises.
- Maintains familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, company operations manual (JBJH/JBJS), and agreed aviation practices to fulfill the function effectively.
- Maintains a high standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of the company.
- Complies with the regulations contained in the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Ensures all passengers are briefed on the location of emergency exits and the location and use of relevant safety and emergency equipment.
Qualification and Experience:
- Current on type A220.
- Private jet experience is preferred.
- More than 500 hours on Bombardier XRS; 5000 hours will also be considered.
- Willingness to relocate to Singapore.
