Synthetic Flight Instructor & Course Designer
Simaero ATO is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Synthetic Flight Instructor & Course Designer to join its dynamic team. This pivotal role involves delivering world-class flight simulator training, developing innovative aviation courses, and contributing significantly to the enhancement and standardization of training programs. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, customer-focused professional with a strong aviation background and a passion for instructional excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Acts as a primary representative and delegate for the Training Manager, ensuring seamless operational continuity and leadership.
- Conducts high-quality training sessions for clients on various Full Flight Simulators, strictly adhering to established training programs and regulatory standards.
- Collaborates effectively with clients to design and develop bespoke aviation training courses and programs tailored to their specific operational requirements.
- Initiates and implements timely updates and enhancements to existing training programs and courseware, ensuring content relevance and efficacy.
- Oversees and manages flight training projects from inception through to successful deployment, ensuring timely execution and achievement of objectives.
- Provides robust oversight and proactive management for all assigned training programs, ensuring their efficiency and compliance.
- Proactively identifies emerging issues and potential opportunities for training program enhancement, providing expert recommendations to the Training Manager.
- Liaises and coordinates with Simaero ATO Postholders and staff to ascertain operational requirements, collaborating with the Training Manager and relevant departments to address them effectively.
- Champions best practices, evaluates the impact of proposed changes, and facilitates organizational adaptation within Simaero ATO.
- Maintains and analyzes critical operational data to inform strategic business decisions and optimize training outcomes.
- Continuously monitors, reviews, and responds to applicable regulatory, customer, and external guidance pertaining to Simaero ATO's content and service delivery.
- Plays a pivotal role in implementing Simaero ATO's instructor standardization policies across all training programs, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Vigilantly monitors the quality of training delivery, promptly addressing and rectifying any existing or potential discrepancies or deficiencies.
- Coordinates closely with Standards, Compliance, and Regulatory departments to ensure local alignment with the broader Simaero Network.
- Offers expert guidance and support in the development and successful implementation of new training programs.
- Ensures the ongoing maintenance of instructor qualifications as required by regulatory bodies and company standards.
- Undertakes additional duties as directed by the Training Manager, contributing to the overall success and flexibility of the training department.
- Cultivates exceptional customer relations by reviewing satisfaction surveys and feedback, taking decisive action to guarantee training delivery consistently exceeds client expectations.
- Demonstrates an unwavering customer/client-centric approach, maintaining composure and professionalism even when operating under challenging circumstances.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Professional Certification: Must hold or have previously held an EASA Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), complemented by a Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) qualification. A multi-fleet qualification (e.g., Airbus/Boeing) is highly advantageous.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1500 hours experience on Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA).
- Demonstrable experience with Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) or Evidence-Based Training (EBT) methodologies.
- Proven background in Instructional System Design (ISD) or aviation training program development.
